Gone
04:54
|

Gone, summer days
Goodbye, I say
Winter, is here to stay
Cannot, go out to play
Gone
Gone
Gone
Gone
Gone, summer days
Goodbye, I say
Winter, is here to stay
Cannot, go out to play
Snow, snow, go away
Come again some other day
Snow, snow, go away
Come again some other day...

The Day She Cried
03:01
|
|||
Many years ago, the Towers stood proudly in the sun
Two planes knocked them down
Folks were screaming, people crying,
Running everywhere
(Chorus)
The day the World stopped spinning
The Day She Cried
The First Responders were first on the scene
For some it would be their last
(Chorus)

First Date
03:37
|
|||
She was just 17
When she walked through my door
But she looked much older
And I was really floored
(Chorus)
FIRST DATE... I'm going to ask her out
FIRST DATE... When I lose all my self-doubt
FIRST DATE... There's no reason now to pout
FIRST DATE... FIRST DATE
Said "Hey Baby" to her
"Would you like to get a drink
You are looking legal age
Why don't we go on a date"
(Chorus)
She looked a bit annoyed
"Got those lines from other boys"
She coughed into my face
"Better self-isolate"
(Chorus)
I just want to be with you
But know you've made me blue
Don't know why I even bothered
Guess I'll just be with another
(Chorus)

Higher
02:48
|
|||
Let's go for a ride
Up into the sky
As long as your by my side
On and on will fly
(Chorus)
We're in love forever
Bond was never tighter
Flying higher than ever
In for this together
Flying through the clouds
Never coming down
We are up so high
We can see for miles
(Chorus)
(Chorus)

Train Wreck
03:30
|
|||
Woke up this morning, I had to go
The platform was busy, traffic was slow
I showed my ticket, said I had to leave
The conductor said no, and someone spit on me
(Chorus) (x2 each time)
Train Wreck, I had a bad, bad day
Train Wreck, nothing went my way
Train Wreck, I just wanna be free
Train Wreck, from this you see
The next train came, and I got on board
I dropped my cellphone, it shattered on the floor
Made it to work, thought I was on time
When I got to the elevator door, "OUT OF ORDER" said the sign
(Chorus)
I ran up the stairs, was almost at the top
I tripped on the last step, broke my high heel and FLOP!
Got in the office door, the boss was standing there, and he said "Your fired!!!"
It was more than I could bear... THIS MUST BE A NIGHTMARE!!!
(Chorus)

Snow
04:15
|
|||
Outside there was snow, Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,
And he had no dough, Oh, oh, oh...
But her face was aglow, Oh, oh oh...
Because he was her beau, Oh, oh, oh...
(Chorus)
They were a young couple
Living like an old couple
Waiting to unfold couple
On top of their world
They were a sad couple
And became a bad couple
Chasing their Dream
"I'll take care of you", Ew, ew, ew...
"You know I will Sue", Ew, ew, ew...
"And I'll always be true", Ew, ew, ew...
"And will never argue", Ew, ew, ew...
(Chorus)
Now they're running from the law, Ah, ah, ah...
And their nerves are raw, Ah, ah, ah...
This is their last hurrah, Ah, ah, ah...
A standoff in Utah, Ah, ah, ah...
(Chorus)
He said "Don't you cry", Aye, aye, aye...
"It's me who's going to die", Aye, aye, aye...
"And it's time for me to fly", Aye, aye, aye...
"So now I say goodbye", Aye, aye, aye...
(Chorus)

Long-Forgotten Warrior
04:46
|
|||
His name was William Bluesky and he was from South Dakota
He showed no fear, and joined like his fellow Lakotas
They left the reserve to fight
With little thought of their plight
They were much more likely to die from the fever
(Chorus)
Long-Forgotten Warrior, joined the great War
Was ready to die in combat, but the flu sent him to God's door
In Philly at that time, things were going from bad to worse
They had a big parade despite warnings from a public health nurse
The crowds came out in strength
Then the wagons carried corpses at length
They didn’t heed the warning and got buried in an open trench
(Chorus)
They gave him a gun and said you’re going off to fight in the trenches
He got on a troop ship and had to sleep on overcrowded benches
Wilson hoped the flu would go away
The army chief of staff said it’s okay
By the time they reached England, they had all caught the bad infection
(Chorus)
William lay in bed waiting to meet his great maker
One doctor doubted him and said you’re just another bloody faker
But he died on the very next day
And was spared from fighting in the fray
He joined those at home who died in the very same way.
(Chorus)

Ginny
02:47
|
|||
We first met
In '05
Things were great
Friendship thrived
Suddenly
Things did change
You did move
Out of range
(Chorus)
Ginny moved away,
She left me in tears.
Life seems so darn empty,
Now, I’m all alone
Hope I’ll find someone new (2x)
5 years on
Forgot you
Feelings change
Right on cue
I’m searching
For someone
Whom to the end
Will be true
(Chorus)
Golden Years
They have come
Found someone
I’m not numb
Life goes fast
Moves along
The end comes
Like a song
(Chorus)

Tears Run Down The Brook
05:35
|
|||
Sorries are never enough
They are really tough
Here's another one
Start where I began
I'm sorry for what I said
Things from in my head
Pounding on your brain
Hailstorms and rain
(Chorus)
Tears run down the brook
Words that you mistook
I'm sorry for all of that
Stuff you should forget
Bonds of friendship were too loose
Now it feels like a noose
I just have to cut them off
All you'll do is watch and scoff
(Chorus)
Stuff you should forget
Stuff you should forget
Stuff you should forget
Stuff you should forget

No Reunion
05:10
|
|||
My embouchure was busted
Only pennies to my name
I'd really played my heart out
In my spot like other days
But the suits weren't sending any money my way
I poured out the last strains of my favourite song
Then put awaymy beat-up horn asking where did I go wrong?
(Chorus)
I'm a busted busker
Down on his luck
Waiting for a miracle
Only getting a buck
I should have stayed with them
Only thought of me
Left her with a baby
Despite heartfelt pleas
I started shuffling home now
Navigating slush and grime
Then I heard a wonderous tune
Like an angel from on high
The glint from her flute sparkled in my eye
The song she was playing made me want to cry
She was the child I left behind
Should I connect with her or say goodbye
(Chorus)
Suddenly, I was near her
Her smile said "I don't know you"
I gave her a hopeful grin
Can I know my child again?
Right then, I was overcome with shame
I had caused her heartache... I was the one to blame
So I gave her my last buck and returned from whence I came
(Chorus)
